Staff Profiles

Flint Ogle- Flint manages the underlying ownership group, acts as a liaison between onsite management and the ownership group, and coordinate macro-management decisions for Clubhouse, real estate, and business planning with Randy Griffin. Flit does not currently live in Montrose, CO but opened his law office in 1997 and began working on the Cobble Creek water filings around the same time. He has been a part of the ownership group since 2005. Flint and his wife Elisabeth and their three children live in Santa Barbara, CA (or what is left of it). Before that they lived in Grand Junction, CO. Flint completed his undergrad education at Cal Berkeley and then attended The University of Colorado Boulder. Flint enjoys cycling, trail running, fly fishing, stand up paddle boarding and sailing. Elisabeth and Flint also love to dance (east coast swing, Rhumba and, others), cook, and periodically pretend they don’t have three kids. Flint’s favorite part of Cobble Creek is the amazing mountain vistas, the welcoming membership, and the monster fish in the ponds. A cool fact about Flint is that he is a past active member for fundraising for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and is still an active member fundraising on behalf of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He also used to sing in a barbershop quartet and is a fair shot with a .45.

Randy Griffin- Randy is our General Manager and Broker Associate real estate agent here at Cobble Creek. He manages and helps run daily operations and everyday needs for the entire Cobble Creek Community. Randy and his wife Libby have lived in Montrose for 14 months, they moved here from Plano, Texas. Randy went to Plano High School in Texas and received his BBA in Finance from East Texas State University. He likes to bass fish and take nature photography when he has free time! His favorite thing about Cobble Creek is the strong sense of community. A fun fact about Randy is that he owned a Cessna Aircraft Dealership many years ago!

Madison Gurule- Madison is our Clubhouse Manager, Golf Villa Property Manager, RV Lot Property Manager, and Real Estate Assistant. She handles the bookings and everyday duties at the Golf Villas on McMasters Place, she manages the day-to-day needs of the Member RV lot, she assists our Real Estate team, and she manages the Clubhouse and Fitness Center daily operations and needs. Madison was born in Denver, CO but moved to Montrose when she was 3. She went to Montrose High School and graduated in 2012. She then moved to Winston-Salem, NC where she played college soccer and attended Salem College for a year. She then transferred to Colorado Mesa University where she continued her education in Secondary English Education. She has been back in Montrose for a year and half and has spent her free time hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, and going to the lake. Her favorite part of Cobble Creek is getting to know all of the members and their backgrounds and where they have been as well as the wonderful staff she gets to work with everyday! A fun fact about Madison is that she has been to 25/50 states and hopes to visit more soon!

Paul Heide- Paul is our Golf Course Superintendent- he maintains the course and some surrounding areas! He does a fantastic job of keeping everything that needs to be green, green! Paul and his wife have lived in Montrose for 26 years, he previously lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Paul attended high school in Lake Linden, Michigan and then attended Eastern Michigan University. He loves to walk his dogs and spend time with his family. A cool fact about Paul is that he is the guitarist in a local rock band called “Dave’s Fault”. Paul’s favorite part of Cobble Creek is the spectacular views, especially at sunrise.

Gerard Lanser- Gerard is our Head Golf Professional and handles all things golf related as well as he does lessons for our members. Gerard has lived in Montrose for 5 years, he moved here from Litchfield, AZ but was born in Miami, FL and went to Westview High School and graduated in 2003 and then he attended Glendale Community College in Arizona. Gerard and his wife Jessica have two kids and they love spending time together, golfing, fishing, biking, and hunting. Gerard’s favorite thing about Cobble Creek is the beautiful golf course views, beautiful homes, and a great place to live and raise a family. A cool fact about Gerard is that he played professional golf from 2006-2012 on the Gateway & eGolf tours all over the country. Earned his tour card for PGA Tour Canada in 2012 and played one year in Canada after that.

Kala Keltz- Kala is our 1st assistant golf professional. She performs golf shop operations such as merchandising, tournament operations, and accommodating golf course customers. She also gives lessons throughout the year which is her true passion. Kala was born and raised in Montrose, she attended Montrose High School and graduated in 2013. She then went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado where she earned her BS in Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality as well as competing for the Universities golf team. Kala loves the outdoors, she loves to golf (obviously), fish, hunt, four wheel in the mountains, snowboard, and play basketball. A fun fact about Kala is that she was born on Halloween! Her favorite part of the Cobble Creek Community is that it has such an amazing community feel, it is part of the reason she loves coming to work everyday!

Deb Patterson- Deb is the event coordinator for Cobble Creek. She plans the parties, coordinates the weddings, creates the tablescapes, and tries her best to manage the chaos. Deb has lived in Montrose for a year and a half but she moved from Ventura County, CA where she went to Agoura High School in Newbury Park, CA. She has an interior design degree, a former EMT Certificate (which she is thinking about reinstating), and a pre-school teacher certification. Deb loves gardening, reading, hiking, writing, and hanging out with her awesome family. A fun fact about Deb is that she has 2 teenage boys and she has been married to her high school sweetheart Jeff for 21 years. She has been swimming with sharks and bonefishing on the flats of Belize, she used to live in Oxford, England for a little while, and she co-wrote a children’s novel with her son (The Adventures of Ninja Kid) and she is currently writing another novel. Deb’s favorite part of Cobble Creek is the gorgeous mountain view she gets to look at every day and the amazing people she works with!


Justin Thompson- Justin is the food and beverage director as well as the Restaurant Manager for Creekside. Justin and his wife Danielle have lived in Montrose for 6 months, after moving here from the Vail/ Edwards area where he also worked in the food service industry. Justin went to Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, CO and attending Metro State University. He enjoys playing with his kiddos (4 year old daughter and 1 year old son), skiing, hiking, and camping. Justin’s favorite part of Cobble Creek is his co-workers and the scenery, and of course the food at Creekside!

Christian Arocho- Christian is the Executive Chef for Creekside Restaurant. He develops new recipes, plans menus, maintains inventories on food supplies, purchases food orders, hires local talent, and provides necessary training to ensure quality culinary dishes are produced. Christian and his wife Maribel have lived in Montrose for 5 months after moving here from Leadville, CO where he lived for about 7 years. Christian attended San Miguel High School and then attended Col. Universidad del Este and received his Bachelors in Food Service and Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales. He loves spending time with his wife and son and his favorite part of Cobble Creek is the restaurant and kitchen staff! A fun fact about Christian is that he restored a 1962 VW Beetle with no prior experience working on cars!
