Randy and Gisela White

The Western slope is the best of Colorado, all the fabulous outdoor living attributes, great weather, plus a tiny population is what pulled us to Montrose.  We expected all that when we moved here but the BONUS has been the Cobble Creek social environment; it is extremely open and welcoming to new residents.  Moving in new from out of town, you get an immediate social structure.  We have 5 daughters and 12 grandkids scattered about US and Canada and one in France.  Randy is a part time ski school instructor at Telluride –the best area in the state!  Also he is a “Senior Partner” mentor to an 11 year old boy in the Partners mentor program here in Montrose.  Like most residents, Randy and Gisela enjoy Skiing, hiking, biking, golf, Jeeping and traveling.

Brian and Jenny Gregg

Brian and Jenny Gregg have lived in Cobble Creek for about a year.  Brian grew up in the Denver area and Jenny grew up in Greeley, Colorado.  They met in Fort Collins and moved to Denver after they married.  They also lived in Nebraska and Wyoming before returning to Colorado, which they have always considered to be “home”.  Brian is a Financial Representative with Thrivent Financial and spends his days helping clients meet their financial goals.  Jenny is a stay-at-home mom for their three sons.  She spends her days homeschooling and cleaning rental properties part-time.  The Gregg children recently participated in the Junior Golf program and are looking forward to many years of golfing in the future.  Brian and Jenny have been practicing their golfing skills as well.  They hope to play a round of golf all together someday but have enjoyed practicing at the chip-n-put and driving range this summer.  The family’s favorite thing to do together is travel.  They have enjoyed day trips to Telluride, Ridgeway, Ouray and Grand Junction since moving to Montrose.  In the past year they have also traveled to Granby, Breckenridge, Greeley, Moab, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Monterey, San Francisco and their favorite destination, Disneyland.

 John and DeAnn Szyfer

John and DeAnn are building their dream retirement home in Cobble Creek this year.  From Centennial CO, John is a Business Analyst planning to retire in November 2014.  DeAnn and their grand-daughter Cassandra plan to move out in the spring when the new home is finished.  They have an English Field Spaniel named pepper and chose to move to Montrose to pursue hobbies of golf, fly-fishing and hiking.

Mark and Belynda Prehn

Mark and Belynda Prehn have lived here for 4 years after Belynda retired from being a flight attendant for 33 years. Mark has worked for golf courses in the past and works for the maintenance department during the summer. They enjoy the luxury of having a patio home that maintains their yard during both the summer and winter months. This also makes traveling a lot more convenient. Both Mark and Belynda use the fitness center regularly. The Sauna and Steam rooms are great a asset for relaxation after working out. The Clubhouse has really introduced them to many of the community members they did not know. It is a nice way to enjoy a drink with new friends. The Prehn’s like the many positive aspect’s the community has to offer,  the diversity of families living here, the activities offered.

Jim and Pam Knight

Jim and Pam have lived in their beautiful patio home near the #3 tee box for three years now. They moved from their home just east of town leaving the large home and lonesome lifestyle behind. Before moving to Colorado, Jim and Pam lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma where Jim was a professor and school head of Architecture at Oklahoma State University and Pam was a manager at a major managed care company. Jim continues to practice architecture and design consulting as can be seen with a walk through their home! They both play a lot of golf through the summer, Pam is an avid tennis player and they are always seen at Clubhouse events and activities. Jim also plays a key role in the Design Review Committee, pilots his hand built R/C airplanes at the Cobble Creek R/C International Airport and hosts the annual NCAA Basketball pool, go OSU! They love the diverse community and friendships they have built here.
